Digital Book Reader

Would you like to read all your e-books on the go?  Then you need a digital book reader.

Lets face it, no one loves lugging around books.  Especially, a book that weights 40 to 70 pounds.  But that is what we do when we want to study on planes, trains and in automobiles.  We take a backpack full of books that just make us tired and unmotivated.  But that time has changed.  Amazon.com changed the landscape by producing a digital book reader that allows consumers like you and me to download books and save them onto a e-book reader like a Kindle.

So why would you go about buying a portable digital reader?  One of the main reasons would be to save the rain forest.  No longer will you be dependent on paper again.  Now, you can purchase your favorite books right off the internet in digital form and download them unto your computer for storage.

Kindle Wireless Reading Device (6" Display, U.S. Wireless, Latest Generation)

At 10.2 ounces, Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines. Barely a third of an inch in profile, you'll find Kindle fits perfectly in your hands.  Unlike most electronic devices, we wanted to keep Kindle simple. Kindle is wireless and ready to use right out of the box–no setup, no cables, no software to install, no computer required.

Then when you are ready to read the book you then download it to your ebook reader.  Since everything is in digital form you will save by not have paper products consumed in your household.  How about that?

Sony Digital Reader Touch Edition - Black (PRS600BC)

The Reader Touch Edition features a 6"display with simple, easy-to-use touchscreen navigation. Turn pages with the swipe of a finger and enjoy fast and intuitive navigation of your favorite books. Take freehand notes and highlight sections of text you want to revisit later, just as you would in a real book, using the included stylus. If you prefer, a virtual keyboard is also available for entering quick notes or searching your eBooks. If you want, you can even export your notes to your computer using the eBook Library software. Enjoy access to a wider number of books from a wider number of places.

Secondly, you can transport numerous books in one medium.  The Kindle alone hold up to 3,500 books, periodicals, and documents and that is just on the low end.  Some e-book readers hold even more and the memory on these machines are getting larger and larger with each release.  Imagine the room you will have by just downloading all of your books to a reader.

Sony PRS-505 Portable Digital e-Reader System (Silver)

The Reader (model PRS-505) features a svelte body design. Re-styled controls more closely mimic paper page turns and allow for quick, intuitive navigation.A next-generation electronic paper display delivers faster response and a higher contrast ratio for easy reading even in bright sunshine. Eight levels of gray scale provide for crisp and clear text, images, and graphics. This device is designed for people on the go, this device is compelling because it allows them to carry a wide variety of reading materials whether they are on a cross-country flight, in a doctor's office waiting room, or at a beach resort.

This revolution is just like was Apple did with the iPod.  Before we all had to lug around tapes and CD's, but not anymore.  The same can be said about digital book readers.

Another positive for digital book readers is with newspapers.  Amazon has negotiated a contract with major newspapers to bring you their news directly to a Kindle.  This service is cheap and you get the news every day.  Stay in touch with world events with a touch of a key.  Now that just makes it easy.

The world is your oyster with digital readers.  They just make reading fun and exciting again.  But all of this is just the tip of the iceberg.  There is so much more to come.
