I don't know how many times I have heard and answered this question, "Where can I buy a digital reader like the Kindle if I live in India?". This is a very valid question especially for those who want to purchase a Kindle since Amazon does not have a website that caters to India to say. But their is an answer that will make many people happy. Amazon.com will ship a product like a Kindle to the country of India. That is right.. They actually take the time to ship internationally to countries that are not being serviced by one of their primary websites. There is a "But" in this answer. Because Amazon.com is not primarily servicing India the product would be shipping from the United States. And that means that their is an extra charge associated with the shipment to an international country. In this case that extra charge could be as much as $30 dollars or more depending on the area of the shipment.

So, is it possible to get an Kindle in India. Yes, but at a premium.
